Résumé

The 2019 Covid pandemic has changed the interaction of human life in the education sector. The teaching-learning process in higher education uses online communication techniques more, both synchronous and synchronous. Various information technology-based applications are used for students learning to obtain learning resources and to conduct teaching-learning interactions. This is useful, but there are also many problems faced by students. This study aims to explore online communication techniques and the problems that arise in using these techniques. The research object included 80 students of the master's program. The research design used mixing methods, supported by google form as a data collection technique. Descriptive statistics were used for qualitative data analysis. The results showed that widely used online techniques by students were Google Meet, WhatsApp, Google Search, Google Scholar, Zoom Meeting, Sipejar, YouTube, and Scopus.Com. Meanwhile. Problems were related to the use of Zoom Meeting, Sipejar, Google Meet, WhatsApp, Scopus.Com, YouTube, Google Scholar, and Google Search. The source of these problems included network problems, mastery of applications, ease of use, costs, the amount of data, the troubles in the using process, and so on. Based on these problems, effective strategies for using online communication techniques are suggested. © 2023 Author(s).

Résumé

-This study aimed to explain the structural influence of the implementation of the communicative approach and the use of information technology in Indonesian language learning on students motivation and learning achievement. This research was conducted in Blitar, Indonesia, and 186 students were chosen as the samples. An explanatory research design was used in this research. The data collection techniques used questionnaires and documentation, while data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling. The results of the analysis showed that there was a direct effect of the communication approach and the use of information technology on students learning motivation. There was a significant direct effect of students learning motivation on students achievement in the Indonesian language class. The communicative approach had an indirect effect on students achievement and showed a stronger coefficient of the effect on learning motivation compared to the use of information technology. These findings were discussed in depth based on the theory and results of previous studies.

Résumé

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in learning activities that were originally carried out face-to-face in schools to turn into online learning. The implementation of online learning has several challenges, one of which is the development of student skills in the 21st century, especially SEP skills. SEP skills of students are needed in learning physics. Students' SEP skills are currently still in the low category. To support the improvement of students' SEP skills, teaching materials in the form of digital modules are applied. This study aimed to examine the role of digital modules in improving students' SEP skills during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a questionnaire technique using 38 items based on eight aspects of SEP skills. The participants in this study were 23 students in a high school in Karanganyar Regency, Indonesia. The results showed that the average SEP skill score after using the digital module was higher (102.34) than before using the digital module (90.58). Based on the value of N gain, the improvement of students' SEP skills in the initial three aspects is in the medium category and the other five aspects are in the low category. The digital module was proved to affect improving SEP skills, although the increase was not very significant. This is because the digital module is equipped with various novelties such as virtual laboratory activities, physics animations, and interactive videos that can help improve students' SEP skills. © 2022 Hunan University. Résumé

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused learning activities that were originally carried out face-to-face in schools to be shifted to online learning. The implementation of online learning has several challenges, one of which is the development of student skills in the 21st century, especially analytical skills. Students' analytical skills are needed in learning physics. Students' analytical skills are currently still in the low category. To support the improvement of students' analytical skills, teaching material in the form of a digital module is applied. The purpose of this study was to examine the role of digital modules to improve students' analytical skills during the Covid-19 pandemic online learning period. The research was carried out using a qualitative descriptive method with 23 students as the subject of a high school in Karanganyar Regency, Indonesia. The study used a quantitative descriptive method with a test technique using 10 essay questions based on three indicators of analytical ability. Data were analyzed using N-gain and paired t-test. The results showed that the average value of analytical ability before using the digital module was 57.84, while the average value after using the digital module was 72.81. Based on the value of N gain, the increase in students' analytical skills on three indicators is included in the moderate category, namely > 0.3. The digital module has a significant effect on improving student analysis.

Résumé

This research aims to determine the number of motorized vehicles of the road transportation sector at primary arterial roads in Wonokromo District before and after COVID-19, the estimated amount of emission produced by motorized vehicles before and after COVID-19 and the correlation between the distribution of the amount and the types of motorized vehicles and the estimated amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) emission. Data collection for determining the amount and type of motorized vehicles was conducted at Jalan Stasiun Wonokromo, Jalan Bung Tomo and Jalan Raya Ngagel. Data collection was conducted in the morning (06.00-08.00 a.m.), afternoon (11.00 a.m. – 01.00 p.m.) and evening (04.00-06.00 p.m.). This study utilizes the IPCC method to determine the concentration of CO2 while implementing the IPCC formula in travel distance approach and the idle emission formula in fuel consumption approach. The estimated amount of CO2 emission load is decreased due to COVID-19 by 44% at Jalan Stasiun Wonokromo, by 62% at Jalan Bung Tomo and by 34% at Jalan Raya Ngagel. The total number of motorized vehicles correlates to the estimated amount of CO2 emission load where there is an increase in number of motorized vehicles there will be an increase in the estimated amount of CO2 emission load as well. © 2021, Malaysian Society of Analytical Sciences. Résumé

Student problems in the Covid-19 condition are very complex and urgent in the needs of the Covid-19 pandemic and after Covid-19. School counsellors have the competence to identify through assessment. However, not all reviews can analyze students' problems comprehensively. This study focuses on assessing student problems that can diagnose the condition of students from the personal, social, academic, and career fields. The research method uses a mixed-method through qualitative data supported by quantitative data. The research targets were students, then tested the validity and reliability for students N=929. The results of data analysis describe ten students' problems from the personal, social, learning, and career fields with valid and reliable items. The results of item validity are 49 accurate statement items or corrected item-total correlation > 0.1161, while one thing is invalid with 0.936 reliability or very high criteria. School counsellors can use assessment of student problems in analyzing student problems and needs. The results of the evaluation can be used for guidance and counselling plans by school counsellors.

Résumé

The COVID-19 pandemic period has become a distraction and a challenge for the café business due to physical restrictions and large numbers of employees working from home. This research aims to describe how local labeling brands can increase coffee shop visits during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. While conducting this research, the authors used a quantitative approach. The population are the consumers who come to local coffee shops. The research samples were chosen by purposive and accidental sampling. A total of 758 respondents responded and sent questionnaires back via email and WhatsApp in 2020. The analysis was conducted by using the statistical software SPSS 26 and the AMOS 23 version to identify the relationship between the variables. The research proves that Indonesian coffee brands are well known. The local culture of coffee drinking has transformed from daily activity into popular culture. The quality of coffee, the psychological effects, and the performance of the café influence consumer intentions to visit coffee shops. Local coffee shops have become a preference for consumer visits. © Institute of Society Transformation, 2021
